Advocare During Pregnancy? ABSOLUTELY!!!

Lots of people asked me even before I got pregnant about my plans for Advocare during pregnancy.  I did LOTS of research before choosing Advocare for my nutritional products, vitamins, and supplements (read about "Why We Need Supplements" HERE!), and one of the many reasons I chose Advocare is because so many of the products ARE safe for expecting and nursing moms.

Advocare has the TOP science and medical advisory board using their knowledge and experience in medicine, nutrition, and science to ensure that all products are formulated with the highest quality of ingredients and based on the latest scientific research. They have more than 250 years of combined experience as well as many distinguished honors and multiple published works. I have had the privilege of meeting, speaking with, having lunch with, and asking these doctors questions multiple times. They are easily accessible and they truly desire to HELP people have the best quality of life. I appreciate their heart for disease prevention, as I feel like many doctors today are more concerned with 'writing prescriptions' than helping patients be proactive about their health.

**I don't mean any disrespect by that...It's just that SO many health issues and diseases are directly correlated with poor nutrition (do the research), yet doctors do not seem to be placing much of an emphasis on nutrition. Did you know that most doctors only receive a quarter on nutrition while in medical school?? Check out an excerpt from this article...

" In the mid-1980s, the National Academy of Sciences published a landmark report highlighting the lack of adequate nutrition education in medical schools; the writers recommended a minimum of 25 hours of nutrition instruction. Now, in a study published this month, it appears that even two and a half decades later a vast majority of medical schools still fail to meet the minimum recommended 25 hours of instruction."

Anyway, knowing the doctors  on the science and medical advisory board have specifically studies women's health, reproductive health, prenatal and neo-natal care, and nutrition, has really validated why these products are not only safe, but also GOOD for you....especially while pregnant.

Here's the official list of Age Guidelines and Pregnancy and Nursing Recommendations, and here's what I'm taking:

I also love the Nursing Mom's Challenge because it has helped SO many of my friends get awesome results!! I will DEFINITELY be doing this after Baby Butler makes his/her appearance in May so I can get back in my pre-pregnancy clothes....(AND because it helps with your hair! Any other nursing moms have issues with their hair falling out??)

**I am SO stinkin' proud of one of my long-time (real life) friends Emily @ The Journey of Parenthood (who was one of the biggest skeptics at first). She just posted this on FB today actually:

Went through all of my jeans last night. It was SO fun being able to wear some that I haven't been able to in years!!! I am so thankful I am back to my pre-pregnancy size ~ I went from a size 8 to a size 4 (while losing 6 lbs and 5.75 inches) in just 24 Days! I've kept it off and lost even more since (down 2 more lbs and another 5.75 inches!!!) :)

**Mine & Jon's beautiful cousin Amanda....
Just weighed myself at the end of day 23 of the 24 day challenge.... AND LOST 12 POUNDS!!! Not bad at all for only 23 days and NO working out (not that I would recommend anyone do this without working out). I did not measure, but I know the inches are even more incredible than the pounds. Feeling great!!! Thank you Advocare for helping my family jump start a healthier lifestyle! — with Casey D. Fraser and Danielle Butler.
Check out her before & after (and the adorable Miss Ella Kate!!)

**Another long time friend, Maria, who is one smokin' hot mom, LOVED the challenge. I asked her on FB because I couldn't remember her results exactly...

Can you tell me your results on the challenge again? I'm writing a blog about Advocare during pregnancy & wanna share your awesome success!! :)

  • Maria Melts Sharrett 13 pounds and 15 inches. I am now down 25 pounds since I started advocare! I've never felt better and I hardly have time to work out
and AFTER....(on left)

Hope that helps!! So my answer is YESSSSSSS, I am ALL over some Advocare during my pregnancy and love knowing I'm giving my sweet baby the highest quality vitamins and nutrition. This little baby (& Mama) won't settle for anything less than the BEST when it comes to vitamins!

So Advocare ensures that your body is getting everything it needs to so that the metabolism is working as fast as it can and you lose weight?

Thank you SO much for posting this! I just had my son 11 days ago and I continued certain Advocare products. I'm a firm believer that the products not only helped me with the horrible morning sickness and sleepiness during my pregnancy, my son passed all check ups (right after birth) with flying colors..the Dr's were amazed with how healthy he was.
Side note: I would highly recommend taking Post Workout Recovery RIGHT after giving birth to help get everything back to "normal" faster. I have kept taking it almost everyday after I have given birth and feel great!
One last thing, what is the Nursing Mom's Challenge? When I clicked on the link it I'm not sure if it brought up the right thing.
Thanks again you are a true inspiration :)
